it all makes you stronger

Welcome to my blog! Here you'll find things interesting to an overworked, overachiever Upper East Sider. If you don't love it, leave it :) Let me start off with saying that I go to the hardest all-girls' high school here in Manhattan; my school is one of the top ten high schools in the country. As you can imagine, this has a way of making the lives of those who go there slightly...difficult. Since coming here, I've learned to thrive on almost no sleep, but I also changed along the way. I became a perfectionist, and no I can't stop until I'm the best. That being said, my wonderful best friends, both from school and outside of school, are amazing. After all, best friends do keep you from spinning off the edge, right? My motto is "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger" because this school hasn't killed me yet :)
My dream is to major in pre-med in college. I want to go to an Ivy League, hopefully Columbia or Cornell--but right now I'm also thinking of Duke (they have really good pre-med and also give out merit scholarships unlike Ivies). Afterwards I want to go to medical school (NYU, where my uncle works) and become a pediatrician, or maybe a heart surgeon. I want to marry another doctor and continue to live in Manhattan. And...that's my dream.
